Gateway Farming is a farming business which started from small business and has grown to become a local poultry provider. Our business is still tiny, but we grow the best totally free range chicken that you will ever eat! We also supply free range of living goats and cow to our customers.

All our products are locally grown and delivered directly to you from Nit farms. It goes without saying, that we do not use antibiotics, nor do we inject brine into our chickens. Ethical, humane, sustainable farming is our goal.

However, we do have select farms in various areas that supply our goods. There are also some Chicken Clubs that are groups of customers that order together monthly and share delivery costs. we deliver any product you buy to you directly.

About our Farm & Chickens

Gateway Farming FREE Range Chickens are grown on our farm in Thohoyandou. Our farm has the most beautiful view of the mountain range. People often ask us why our chickens taste so good. We absolutely love our chickens and enjoy inventing new ways to make them happier and more comfortable, out on our pastures. This is no easy feat as Pasture reared chickens need lots of attention.

We have always had a dream. To grow chickens in a totally FREE environment with moveable shelters. After much learning and many mistakes it’s a dream come true. We are now growing Big, Fat, happy, healthy, FREE chickens and goats that taste absolutely divine.

We promise we never use routine antibiotics nor do we inject with brine. Animal welfare and humane farming is what we aspire to. At the moment we deliver our products to Thohoyandou and local surroundings. We look forward to welcoming you to the NITFARMING FAMILY!
